This was a really great course designed for pregnant women, healthcare professionals, health coaches and nutritionists. I am a yoga teacher myself and this course greatly helped me in understanding not only the nutritional aspects but also physical health during pregnancy. I wish there were a few more homemade remedies discussed as well along with the the supplements. Thanks a lot coursera :)

Although I can't agree with some of the points because of my extensive reading, e.g. the claim that supplementing with folic acid is better than supplementing with folate or the claim that every pregnant woman should increase her daily intake of iodine (to those with autoimmune thyroid, iodine is actually toxic), I have enjoyed this course and learnt quite a lot from it.

The course was very informative, however i would have loved to see some third world information included in the literature and videos. Due to the fact that many persons doing the course may be from third world countries and as such the statistics, treatment and nutrition may vary. all in all i am very happy that i got the opportunity to pursue this course. It was an ok course, but I think they don't look at the bigger picture in certain things, like suggesting eating fish- nutritionfacts.org has more updated info that looks at it from different perspectives. Also, if an obese pregnant woman is on the course, gosh they would feel awful. Not at all sensitive. Basically saying 'if you're fat your baby may die'.

Clear, concise, but too idealistic. In the real world, women get pregnant without planning, they smoke, they do not eat very healthy... It is good to know where we should lead them, but how we can do this is not very much adressed in this course. How to coach people for health-oriented behaviour change? This component is missing from this course.

This course is really good. the way of explanation of Dr. Berthold is very comprehensive, simple easily apprehend able. what if you add some pictures and videos like physical activities during pregnancy. I like the facts and fiction portion the most. but over all whole course was really lovable.

I liked the overall course, being brief and easy to catch. Except one part, where vegan diet has been criticized for lacking essential omega. I am a vegan and I am completely aware that I do NOT require fish in my diet to comply with omega RDA. Apart from that, the course is quite good.

The course was great, full of information for changes in a pregnant mothers and nutritional needs.
i would love if they would also add some hands on information or a practice for planning a diet chart and different exercise, breathing exercise according to different case studies.

The course has great content and some crutial information about pregnancy and problems that may occur. The third week was harder than the others, but with a little bit of reading you can pass as well. Good work and thank you for the knowledge.

It needs to include a section on the preferred advisable normal daily nutritional regimen and healthy options of how to increase it 10% in the start of the pregnancy and till we reach the 30% increase by the end of pregnancy

The topics in Unit 3 were too academic and difficult to understand. Overall
I was expecting that a daily or weekly nutrition plan would be suggested
however no example of meal plans were provided.
