There is 1 module in this course
This course covers key networking concepts, protocols, ports, and devices, with practical lessons on configuring SOHO networks, wireless standards, and TCP/IP settings. You’ll work directly with servers, IoT devices, and various network types, learning how to set up Internet connections and VLANs. The course emphasizes hands-on labs and real-world scenarios, so you can apply what you learn immediately. Learn to troubleshoot, configure, and secure networks confidently.
In this module, you’ll develop a strong foundation in computer networking, preparing you for both the exam and real-world IT environments. You’ll explore essential topics such as ports and protocols, network devices, and small office/home office (SoHo) networks. You’ll also dive into wireless networking protocols, networked hosts—including various server types—network configuration, and TCP/IP, which is fundamental knowledge for any technician. The module wraps up with an overview of network types and networking tools. Since nearly all computers today require networking, and networking makes up about a quarter of the CompTIA A+ content, you can expect plenty of related questions on the exam.
