Professor Damsgaard has been the daily project manager of the OPUS School Meal Study. She has years of experience conducting and managing large dietary intervention trials with young children and adults and has designed and conducted master- and PhD-courses within nutrition and public health.

Professor Damsgaard’s main interest is the effect of diet on markers of metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular risk and inflammation in childhood. She has profound research expertise within Nordic foods, n-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamin D.
