  • You will experience both theoretical knowledge & practical applications. Programme concepts are explained through a combination of readings, real world case studies, classroom interactions, projects and simulations.
  • The degree is divided into 8 terms. The 1st four terms will focus on building a solid foundation through core courses and projects and the next four terms will allow you to choose elective courses & undertake projects.

Earn a double specialization

IIT Roorkee’s EMBA allows you to customize your degree as per your career goals. Earn upto a double specialization in domains across marketing, finance, human resources, operations and information technology. There are 55 different electives available across the above 5 domains For you to earn a specialization in the degree you will need to select a minimum of 15 electives out of which electives worth of 12 credits should be in a distinct area (i.e. marketing, finance, HR etc).

Minimum required credits vs additional credits

Each core/elective course & project across eight terms has credits mapped to it For you to earn this degree you will have to complete a MINIMUM of 99 credits. Following is the split of 99 credits required across core/elective courses & projects:

  • If you wish to select more elective courses than required you are welcome to do so but will incur extra fees per additional credit

Application based learning

Throughout the programme, you will have opportunities for real-life learning through projects, assignments, and capstone project including business simulation.

Business simulation in capstone

The best way to learn business is to run a business. The capstone business simulation project is designed to provide students with a hands-on learning experience in strategic management and business decision-making.

  • Aims to simulate a real-world business environment, allowing students to apply the concepts and theories they have learned.
  • It provides a risk-free environment where the students can operate and grow a large company in a dynamic and competitive market
  • Skills takeaways: Strategic thinking, Decision-making, Cross-functional collaboration, Financial Management, Market Analysis (Understand changing dynamics of markets and develop competence in competitive analysis)

What the simulation entails:

  • Multiple rounds of Intense, comprehensive, and team-based learning experience.
  • Focus on strategy immersion- you have to out-think others in competing companies.
  • Debriefings and reports are analyzed after each round to show cause and effect – winners and losers.
