Yes - the textbook “The Missing Link: An Introduction to Web Development and Programming" is freely downloadable in PDF and ePub formats and print copies can be purchased if desired.

When will I have access to the lectures and assignments?

You'll be introduced to the request/response cycle, including GET/POST/Redirect. You'll also gain an introductory understanding of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), as well as the basic syntax and data structures of the PHP language, variables, logic, iteration, arrays, error handling, and superglobal variables, among other elements. An introduction to Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) will allow you to style markup for webpages. Lastly, you'll gain the skills and knowledge to install and use an integrated PHP/MySQL environment like XAMPP or MAMP.

This course is one which will introduce you with various important aspects of PHP if you haven't got any knowledge about it. If you do have some experience in PHP, this course is surely a refresher.

Dr. Chuck is great to listen to. Quick lessons but need to read offline reference material to really understand it if you have no real knowledge of php before starting.

I loved this course, it puts nicely togather different aspects of web applications. Enjoyble. fun and easy to start with :) Good foundation for sure for further learning :)
