Career Outcomes
This multidisciplinary degree will prepare you for a broad range of careers in public health, including in biostatistics, epidemiology, community health, leadership roles in the health management field, or public health policy professions. Ninety seven percent of School of Public Health of graduates are employed, continuing their education, or not seeking employment.
In this program, you’ll have the opportunity to choose your path and dive deeper into focus areas that interest you. Jobs after graduation might include, but are not limited to, Health Data Analyst, Health Administrator, Health Educator, Clinical Manager, or Policy Analyst. Alumni Network

The more than 17,000 alumni of the University of Michigan School of Public Health are making an impact across the globe and shaping the future of public health.
School of Public Health alumni have access to career resources and employment opportunities via the Michigan Public Health Careers portal, which is the primary job posting site for the School of Public Health. Appointments with the Michigan Public Health Career Development Office are available to recent alumni up to 12 months following graduation.
Alumni also have access to Michigan Public Health Connect, a mentoring and networking platform that supports connections across the Michigan Public Health community. This platform has been created exclusively for alumni, students, faculty, and staff from the School of Public Health. Michigan Public Health Connect provides a meeting place for members of our community to have conversations, ask questions and seek guidance, coach and inspire, and explore paths to professional aspirations. Current students are invited to join and engage with Michigan Public Health Connect while they are currently enrolled, which can allow them to participate in a student-alumni mentoring program and connect with alumni in the field on a regular basis.
Career Services
The Michigan School of Public Health Career Development Office is focused on bridging the gap between school training and professional goals. The office works closely with recruiters from leading public health organizations to assist students in forging careers.
